It's been a while Blogger. It's been a while in the making, and it's been long enough since I posted. I guess this is what you'd call the before and after post.
Up to here, my blog has been a collection of random thoughts and opinions on a million things, with no form or structure. I've meant to change this for a long time, but I never had time to write anything, nor did I have the mental state to update. Up to now, my blog has been used as a mental dump where I post my poetry if I deem it appropriate for human consumption, and I've filtered my every thought ever since 2011 and the dramas. I'm done doing that.
I guess the first thing that needs to be said is that this blog is not a dump, it's a dear place, and I want it to reflect what it is. This is the beautiful landscape of my soul, A place where my deepest, dearest thoughts come to rest. I feel I haven't painted this masterpiece properly, for my soul IS my masterpiece.
When you step into this blog, you should see the valley, the encroaching darkness on the fringes, and the dead landscape that populates it. You should perceive the lake of eternal laments, and how it's full of thoughts that never had enough time to form coherence And you should see the eternal moon that hangs upon this place, bathing the landscape in its eerie, deathly pallor, highlighting the castles in the sky. You should picture that hallowed place, the Crystal Citadel, in its center, and you should see him, the lord of this valley, sitting on his throne, welcoming you. But none of that has managed to convey, nothing shows the wonderfully dark place my soul is. So it is time to show it.
I may not write every week, but it's time to make a habit. :).
